This morning, on the way to work, I saw a chipmunk crossing the road. It was coming from the left side of a two-lane stretch, scampering to the right. It stopped right in the center of the pavement, on the double yellow line, as if waiting for the cars to pass before continuing with its morning exercise through the fresh spring air and sunshine.

This is wierd, nonsensical trippy one, folks. I make no claims regarding its rationality.

Farscape. Quality Television Programming[tm].

No, that title doesn't make any sense, nor is it a reference to anything known to me. Trying to write sensible titles to ramblings which have essensially no unique content has become tiresome. Hence, I have now taken up the practice of making up random words and syllables and stringing them together. Welcome to the 21st century.

Currently sitting in irc. Various characters have been popping in and out throughout the evening -- some real, some fictional, and some are just... something in between.

Alright, so I've been plowing through yesterday's events little by little in the collective. But there was a lot of stuff that happened. It takes a while!

Today, of course, was the day I went to the annual Starfest event. Great fun was to be had there. I have decided that instead of writing a lengthy summary here, I will document it in the Content Collective this time. A full announce tile will be posted, from which I will make a branching trail, where there will hopefully be enough room for all the tangents I feel like taking, as they come to mind. It's now official. I am going to Starfest this weekend. (I have not yet decided whether I will go to the optional Friday night stuff which is included for no additional charge, but Saturday is a definite.) Goodie.

Eat a little leftovers from the fridge. Take the Heavy Gear II game for a spin (well, actually, just learning the interface. I haven't actually played it "for real" yet.) Sleep. Wake up and go on irc, where TransBot and Jaeger were the only other attendees. (TransBot doesn't talk very often though.)

How was my day today? You really don't want to know the answer to that question. I'm a hansomely paid corporate whore, remember? Is any further elaboration necessary?

Would it scare any readers if I said that there were two films I watched this weekend that I did NOT log? (But they were not theatrical viewings, and both of them have been logged on previous occassions, so entering these is hardly top priority.)

After glancing through Katz's review, I knew this was a movie I would have to see. I figured it was some new release I had just not heard about, since I haven't been watching many ads lately. But a standard scan revealed that it was playing at none of the nearby multiplexes; not even the big old AMC 24! Curses.

When I saw this movie years ago on VHS, while I was in high school, it left a strong impression on my mind. An impression which I think lingered over the proceeding years. I might even say that the late night rantings of Christian Slater as the pirate radio D.J. would provide, in my subconsciousness, an inspiration for some of the elements that exist in my own Random Ramblings even today, although through a different medium, of course.

And now, a selection from the Wal Mart discount DVD department...

Two movielog entries currently in the queue. I thought I'd do a little ramble just for the fun of it before I finish them up and post them.

Alright, I think I've just about had my fill of automated emails from online "e"-businesses for one day. tuxgames.com sending all sorts of wonderful info about the progress of the Tribes 2 shipment (including a mass mailing from the CEO, making what I see as an honorable attempt to set things right with customers who preordered and had credit cards charged weeks or months ago, before Loki decided to lower the price). Stuff from ebgames (have I gone overboard?) about my round of get 'em while they're $10 purchase (just shipped), a message notification from keslin.com, and then... oh yes. Taxes. Yipee. Taxes.

I suppose it's old news now. I, along with everyone else in this household, was snowed in today. Crazy stuff happening. DIA had to shut down for a while, as did a bunch of the highways. Power was out for a while here too. But everything seems more or less normal again at the moment.
