It's now official. I am going to Starfest this weekend. (I have not yet decided whether I will go to the optional Friday night stuff which is included for no additional charge, but Saturday is a definite.) Goodie.

I was playing with attempting to make screenshots of DVD movies this evening. No luck. All the players I've looked at bypass the "normal" X display and send the data straight to the card (something like that). I'm sure there must be a way to do it, because I've seen tons of screenshots out there. Further investigation may be required.
