As anyone who read the last rambling might guess, I spent a good portion of the day today sleeping. A good thing.

Last night, as I drove home, I had my evening all planned out and prioritized real nice. I was going to jog (this time, with plenty of time to complete the cycle), I was going to go to Buddhist class at the Shambhala center, and then I was going to come home, unwind, and possibly take care of a few bills and things.

Sometimes I get the sense that life -- my life -- has been and contiues to rush right by me. When I stop to think and wonder where yesterday went, I see that just as I was marvelling about such things, another day vanished. And just stop.

With the Quality Mythology[tm] rerun just now over, it seemed like a good time to post a little rambling. So here I go.

Now, as I sit here typing at Argo, Jaeger and Gem have departed hours ago (I've decided to follow Jaeger's convention and refer to her by her real name instead of handle; the reasing being the confusion caused by the fact that her notebook computer is also named "Kiesa"). In front of me, and a couple meters to the right, bouncing sits busily playing SimCity 3000. The "Press any button (Sony)" screensaver logo hops around randomly on the NTSC viewing screen.

The Great Fest is now in progress. Jaeger and Kiesa arrived just as I was completing my setup in the living room, which included the film viewing hardware (tv + dvd + 5 speaker setup) as well as Argo.

It's been a while since I rambled, despite the fact that the last three evenings have been fun filled and action packed. Well, maybe that's why there have been no ramblings. Spend the day/evening in all manner of activity, and there's no time or energy left to ramble after all of it.

Funny this movie wasn't publicized much. I only heard about it from two sources, one of which was a trailer downloaded from a stranger's web site a while back, the other in which it was referenced on a DVD director's commentary. Based on the strength of those, I knew I had to see it. Tonight, while browsing the Video Station's supreme selection, it seemed like the perfect chance. (And yes, when I saw the claim on the back of the box stating something to the effect this movie being above and beyond The Matrix, I was highly skeptical.)

The more I read about the music industry, the more cynical I become.

I think I'm going to have several things to discuss with my therapist and doctor in next week's appointments, none the least of which would be this inability to sleep at times like now, followed by excessive tiredness during the workday.

Yes indeed, my overall volume of online content farming seems to have been in a slump lately. Such is the way of things.

This film was a riveting, sometimes bone chilling, satire on our media saturated culture. Although it is hardly the first movie to make these points (one review I glanced over prior to viewing had already compared it to Natural Born Killers), I would say it's very effective.

Lately, I've been feeling relatively uninspired about this whole web content creation gig. I'm not sure exactly what to make of that. Maybe it's just part of a predictable cycle.

One wild goose chase after another. That would describe my non-work life today, I think.

Perhaps vaguely inspired by Jaeger's latest title, I shall attempt to recount as much as I can remember of the dream content which passed through my head last night / this morning. It may not make much sense though, because most of what I can recall consists only of fragments and non-translatable emotions.

Alright, so I lied in my rambling. Instead of going out of the house tonight, I decided to stick around here and watch one of the classics. After dinner, I was just in the perfect mood for it, you know?
