End of Weekend

Yes indeed, my overall volume of online content farming seems to have been in a slump lately. Such is the way of things.
The incessant snow falling from the sky for the past two days successfully convinced me to remain within the Compound most of the time. Alas, no running as I had wanted to do, nor much of any activity involving going out.
Well, I did go out to get food a couple times. And I did buy a DVD on the way to fetch Taco Bell this evening. And a worthwhile purchase it was.
So um, I've been basicly sitting on my lazy ass all weekend, and continue to do so now.
I like the plastic cup I got with my meal at Subway yesterday. Isn't it strange what trivial things sometimes amuse us? It's just cool though. It has a plastic screw-on cover, with a little rotating lid at the top which you can open and close to put the straw through. But here's what's cool: It's totally waterproof. I put soda in it, rotated it closed, turned it completely upside down, and shook it as proof. Nothing leaked out!
Okay, please no comments about the mental maturity of a certain author of a certain web page on which this rambling appears. Heehee.
In fact, the cup was so cool, that last night, I observed that bouncing had gone to Subway and also acquired one for himself as well. Although he would not admit it, it was obvious that he was so impressed by the cup's design that he just had to have one too. The word is spreading.
To the Subway people: I'll exepect that check to arrive by the end of the week, thank you.
Oh yes, about the DVD I was just watching: I don't think there's anything quite as majestic as hearing the Farscape theme belting out in a full Dolby Digital 5.1 mix. Yes, while I was at Wal Mart (the gods spare my soul), that disc priced at US$15 was just a little too tempting. So much good stuff on there.
My review (based on having only seen part of the content so far): This release raises the bar on what constitutes a good DVD release of a televesion series. Really good. Although it's not the entire-season-in-a-cute-little-box packaging of, say, The X Files, the disc is loaded with the goodies.
The disc has the first two episodes of the series -- The Pilot, and "I, E.T." -- both with full Dolby Digital 5.1 sound. (Highly unusual for a rerelease of a televesion series. And a kickass mixing job, I might add; better than a lot of movies. ) Commentary tracks on both episodes, a "making of" documentary (which I had also previously pirated from Humblick), and a 10 minute character profile on Chrichton.
The video quality of the episodes is absolutely supurb, and like I said above, the sound is awesome. I watched the premiere, and then the commentary track with it. Highly entertaining stuff.
And you know what else? They're planning to release more of these in sequence, loaded with more yummies, commentary tracks, and the works. I think I'm addicted all over again. Farscape really ought to be regulated like crack. Once you bump into a dealer and take your first few doses, there's no going back.
Alrighty then. My brain is empty. I have nothing else to say. Goodnight.
