Preliminary examination reveals that my hour of work this evening has paid off; the Lounge appears to be running well on the new server, and at this very moment, the content collective database is being copied. A fairly smooth transition, now that I've finally gotten around putting a little time into it.

Hey people. A lot of stuff has been happening recently. Things have been ridiculously busy. I haven't had time to write content, or do much of anything computer related for several days, due to a combination of demands at work, spending as much time as I can with with the family while we're all together, and of course, the fact that my pc is at one residence and my bed at another.

Alrighty. With my last block of "work days" out of the way, I now have a few days in which to contemplate, catch up, relax, and think about the future.

Alright. Haven't written in several days. Here comes the rundown.

This is exciting. I'm here at the Boulder Compound, where the server Hydrogen is up and running. Jaeger and I have been reading slashdot^W^W hard at work fixing bugs and getting things ready for production. I just got the email alias code working to my satisfaction, so I think I'll now sit back, congratulate myself, and read a salon article before journeying back to mom's place to sleep.

Well, this would be a first, at least since Dagobah has taken up residence in the Alcove of the Boulder Compound. (Technically, of course, I am making the rambling on argo via an ssh session. It would be a messy thing to try to make it all work independently of argo while still maintaining consistency between the 2 databases.)
