Another week goes by in a flash

You know there are people around who care when within one 24 hour period, not one, but TWO friends send email with tips about car buying. Thanks guys! (and I mean "guys" in the totally non-gender-specific sense) ;) We'll see what transpires.
And now, another concern: What has recently become the total neglect of the Version 2.0 code. As of right now, it's remained pretty much untouched since the fest over a month ago. And we all know that code left alone doesn't just remain static. It rots. It decays. It grows stinky little warts. The flies buzz around it. The longer you leave it alone, the less you want to touch, look at, or work with it.
The current situation is not the way I want it to be. This sad state of affairs has come about for fairly obvious reasons. Of course, my employment is the biggest contributing factor. After spending all day programming (or worse, NOT programming) at work, one hardly feels like coming back home and trying to track down a bunch of nasty bugs (which is pretty much what's left in the Version 2.0 code right now).
Of course, there's always the "weekend coding" phenomenon. Caffeinate yourself up to high hell on Friday night, program into the wee hours, sleep in on Saturday morning, code some more during the day, take a break Saturday night, watch tv, movies, or whatever. Then on Sunday, clean up the rough edges, put comments in while you might still remember what you did, and by Sunday night, look back in amazement at all that has been accomplished. Then, kick back and watch The X Files. :)
Of course, this also presents problems. Unfortunately, convincing your body and brain to function on Monday morning becomes more difficult. More to the point, on recent weekends, I've simply been doing other things. There's a good chance that this weekend will be no exception. ;)
So what am I bitching and moaning about again? That's right. Absolutely nothing. I am my own worst enemy. So what the hell am I waiting for. Let's dig into that code RIGHT NOW, and see how many flies I can shew away. :)
