Weekend report

This weekend, in comparison with the past several weekends, has been mostly uneventful. Well, not entirely so. I did go to see Fantasia 2000 yesterday, which was fun. Definitely a good experience for music lovers.
Yesterday, Saturday morning, I woke up, ate some leftover macaroni, and finally got around to watching the Xena video I had purchased at Starfest two weeks ago. Orphan of War and Remember Nothing. Both excellent episodes from an earlier age. Especially Remember Nothing. For me, watching it evokes thoughts about my own life. What if a different path had been taken? A different decision made at some crucial point? What would I be? What would others be? How would the world be different? Sometimes, even events from our pasts which seem like "bad" decisions may have brought about effects which we never would have realized. The message? Maybe that fate will have its way, no matter how we deny. Or that we make our own destiny? That the true self must prevail, despite all circumstance? I dunno. Perhaps the best stories leave that for the audience to figure out. :)
After that, I went online and surfed a bit, and went.... back to bed. Gotta love lazy Saturdays. :)
Slept a couple hours, got up, did a little reading. Went back to sleep again. I am horrible, aren't I? :)
As the movielog indicates, and as I said above, the evening was spent watching Fantasia 2000. A family event. It was good.
Wrote part of a movielog entry (I've told that story in the previous rambling), went to watch the new Xena, followed by EFC (which I actually didn't finish; my brain was toooooo sleepy, even after all those naps; besides, having missed so many episodes of that recently, following the greater plot arc was too much for my tired brain). Went to bed.
Slept in this morning, hacked my movielog editing code into a semi-working state, and wrote something resembling a finish to last night's entry. Ate breakfast, and guess what happened next? Bitscape sleeps again! (Probably making up for all the previous weekends on that.)
Yadda yadda yadda, went and filled the car up with gas (a first), got some grub at taco bell, returned here. Yes, a very lazy weekend. That's good sometimes. :)
Oh, and somewhere in there, I must have spent some time straightening up my room, cause it's a little neater than it was on Friday. Still could use some work though. Also, gotten almost all my laundry done. Gotta do that every now and then.
And now, with a full stomach, I'm almost feeling like taking a nap again. Is that silly or what? (This weekend, I haven't even bothered to count or remember the hours, so any challenges to contest who got the most would, unfortunately, be futile.)
