I just had a meeting with Scott, his new team, plus Peter chiming in for extra kicks. What fun. What insanity.
As far as substance went, most of the knowledge transfer in terms of technical stuff went from me to Peter, which seemed kind of odd, given that Peter's official involvement in the project is totally peripheral, but oh well. He was the one asking the questions and taking notes, so to Peter the answers went.
Meanwhile, Scott gave the new guys the dot-com-style "business plan" presentation, which I personally found quite hilarious, but perhaps that was just me.
Then I ate a bowl of macaroni and drank a beer from the datacenter fridge. (And yes, by the time I got around to drinking it, the beer felt entirely appropriate, even though nobody else had opted for one.)
All in all, a fun evening. Now I know beyond a doubt why I'm resigning from that enterprise. In a way, it's sad; but in another way, it's also a relief.
There may be interesting times ahead...
