A week goes by

I find myself relatively uninspired to write lately, but I don't want to let this page go too long without something. So, a brief summary of the past week.

Monday -- Worked. Got screwed up as to the schedule, and arrived 2 hours late. (Already documented.)

Tuesday -- Sleep, work. Yipee. Also watched a couple more of the Alias episodes I had grabbed during the fest. The show seems to have a nasty habit of ending every episode with a cliffhanger, which is then immediately resolved during the teaser of the following episode before launching into a new story arc. Seems like kind of a cheap tactic to keep people coming back, but I guess it works. I suppose this is probably way-old news to old-time Alias fans, but did anyone else notice Gina Torres's guest role? Kewl, man!

Wednesday -- Day off. Went to Best Buy, where I purchased a copy of the new Zelda Windwaker game, and was also happy to find that their only remaining copy of the Waking Life DVD was priced at only $7.99, so I also bought it promptly (to replace the copy I gave to Yanthor).

WRT Zelda: The cell animation graphics style is wacky. The gameplay itself, following in the Zelda tradition, is great fun; imaginative and absorbing.

Thursday -- Another day off. Played Zelda. Spent the evening watching a bunch of B5 season 4. Thought about typing a rambling, but couldn't think of anything substantive to say. One of those days.

Friday -- Worked.

Saturday -- Played Zelda a little before work. Though it was a generally slow day in the grocery store, several of the customers were really obnoxious and rude. Thoughts that go through my mind at such times: They really don't pay me enough to put up with all this shit. Such are the times.

During lunch, I made a quick trip to the Wherehouse Music closing-the-store sale (all merchandise discounted 30-50% off), but found nothing compelling enough to make me want to purchase. There were a couple of items I might have been interested in, had they been even cheaper. Maybe I'll return tomorrow or the next day to see if things are discounted any further.

Now here I sit, listening to the Norah Jones music I ripped from Yanthor during the fest. Relaxing, dreamy music. Don't Know Why is one of the few songs I haven't gotten sick of, despite constant repetition in the grocery store.

Trying to think if there's anything else I want to do here at the computer before returning to mom's place. Guess not. Goodnight world.
