Voting with ballots and dollars

I have just returned from an expedition to the voting booth, followed by the Temptation Zone. My voting consisted of a rather quirky combination of idealism and pragmatism. I ultimately decided to vote for Tom Strickland (democrat) for U.S. Senate, re-elect Bill Owens (republican) for governor, and mostly libertarian for various other representative positions, and abstaining from several other races of which I am totally ignorant. I am relatively pleased with the ballot I cast.

I then made my way to the Westminster Best Buy, where I searched in vain for the Babylon 5 set. The salesperson knew nothing of the release, looked it up in the computer, and found nothing. Doh.

Determined in my quest, I made my way to the Broomfield Best Buy. I did not see it on the shelf in the alphabetically appropriate location, so I asked a sales dude. He said that their store had gotten two copies, and wasn't sure if they had any left, but was able to show me the exact spot on the shelf where the boxes rested. Mmmmm.... shiny. $79.95.

I snagged it, using money I had made helping my dad at the flea market a few weeks ago to pay for it. Now, I think I have time for an episode or two before heading to work. Looks like a lovely set.
