After one 32 hour week at it, I think I'm finally starting to get into the "rhythm" of my new job. It ain't bad. I didn't have to ask as many constant questions today, and when I know where things are and how stuff is done, it gets easier. The whole "customer service" thing ain't half bad either, especially when the customers happen to be cute females. :)
Now, I've got two days off ahead of me, and I ponder what I'm going to do. My mom is going to be moving tomorrow, so there's a good chance I'll be helping her with that, as well as possibly moving some of my own stuff into her new place. We'll see.
As I was listening to "The New 102.1 X" pounding its rhythms into my brain tonight on the way home down 36, I again realized that I am totally overdue for some serious clubbing. I didn't end up going last week. But maybe tomorrow night. Maybe.
Yeah, after thinking about it a bit more, the "mystery shopper" thing really isn't such a bad idea. It did sort of catch me by surprise the first time, but... I guess it's as good a way to judge an employee's performance as any. Besides.... I'm still a bit flatterd (and slightly surprised) about the fact that I got a 100% during my first week. It also doesn't hurt that the coworker-cum-manager who has taken me under her wing as a trainee had said on several occasions that I'm doing a really good job. :)
At this point, my premonition is that I'll be with this deli job for at least a few months. I still haven't decided on long term living arrangements. I'd prefer to think of squatting with parental units a temporary situation; the more temporary, the better. But it may take me a couple of months to formulate another workable plan which allows me to live within my means. Cohabitation of some sort may be necessary, though not my ideal first choice. Stay tuned.
Alright, I think I'm ready for another B5 episode before bed. Have I mentioned that this DVD release was a really awesome idea? I shall now lay back and watch the story unfold on Argo's display. Goodnight, world.
