Absolutely enchanting. Miyazaki is a genius.

Ok, on one level, it could be said that this film is simply a beautifully and artfully told fairy tale (which it is).

Here's my theoretical interpretation: With Spirited Away, Mayazaki does for the system of corporate rule what Lewis Carroll in Alice in Wonderland did for the British nobility. Both works could be construed as an allegorical portrayal of the insanity of the system articulated as metaphorical satire through the eyes of a little girl. (Yikes, was that enough of a mouthful?)

Anyway, this film is a feast for the eyes, the mind, and the imagination. Stunning artwork and imagery. It's an adventure to the max. I was glued to the screen for every frame.
