From the things-you-discovere-while-packing department...
I discovered this scribbled in a random notebook. It's dated 4/8/2002. April 8. A little over six months ago. Kind of random. Here, for everyone's depressing pleasure:
Defective Merchandise
4/8/2002
I am defective merchandise
You thought I might be useful
a fun toy to play with.
I wanted so much to please
but ultimately could not deliver
Not worth having.
Made every attempt I could
to be whatever you wanted.
I was not what you wanted.
Thrown away without a thought.
I am defective merchandise
When I realized my insignificance
I raged and lashed, exploded myself
Still, you saw me as nothing
An even more worthless piece of shit
All the easier to throw away
Or gradually crush if whim permitted.

Such a poet I am. Not. lol. Hope that brightens up everyone's day.
