So today is Sept 11

So, one year ago was the day the airplanes crashed, the buildings collapsed, and the nation went into a panic. And now, since it was one year ago, everyone is putting up memorials, and running tributes.
Pretty much everything I had to say about it was said long ago. For me, that's in the past now. Of course, since I didn't personally know anybody who was directly involved in the mayhem, it's easier for me to separate myself from it. For people who did have relatives or friends who were lost, or were there when it all happened, I could see how it might be different.
I suppose the question for myself is: What, if anything, am I going to do on this day? Somehow, just watching it all again on tv doesn't really appeal that much, although I may turn it on for a little while. We'll see.
Would it be best for me to just go about business as usual? (We'll leave out, for a moment, what "business as usual" means when one is unemployed.)
Or maybe I could just go to Pearl Street, hang out, and observe the crowds. Spend some time at the library.
Maybe I'll call my parents. See how they're doing.
I don't know. One year since September 11. So much has happened in my life since then, it seems like it was another world. Different residence. Different job situation. Different direction in life. But that's just me.
Here's to the ongoing spectacle known as humanity.
