So...
What of my two "Weekend Resolutions" made 3 eternal days ago? Well, I'm afraid that the Collective Coding portion of the time was devoured by Lady Deidre Skye, Colonel Santiago, and the U.N. Peacekeepers (funny, everytime I heard that I think of sabaceans). The "get outdoors" resolution was invaded by Chairman whats-his-face of the Hive. And so, here I sit.
Just got out of the weekly irc chat. This week, it turned out to just be Jaeger, myself, and our most well-regarded friend, TransBot. (I'm tempted to call him Scratch.)
We seem to have developed a peculiar pattern with regard to these gatherings. I watch Ally McBeal at 2000 MDT. Then, right after it's over, I hop on irc for the gathering (typically at 2000 PDT). Talk with whoever is there for an hour, and then Ally McBeal airs in Jaeger's timezone when it's 2200 MDT. He watches it, and posts brief little summaries and quotes from scenes. Then I, recalling what took place 2 hours ago, say, "Oh yeah! That was a really funny one. But just wait til you see what happens next!"
And the tradition continues.
I don't have the right.
The music of Nirvana circulates through my head. Can't imagine why. :)
This evening's dinner provided by Taco Bell. Picked it up in Boulder before returning home from the Video Station dropoff and a little walk up and down Pearl Street. I had to return the movie rented over the weekend: The Birds. Alfred Hitchcock. 1963. My mom had wanted to watch it, for whatever reason. It being Mother's Day weekend, I checked availablity, and managed to rent the DVD from Colorado's most excellent video store. It wasn't a bad film at all. I should've made a movielog entry, but... Well, maybe I still will. We'll see.
Oh, and XWP Saturady night was excellenté. Is it just me, or does it seem like they're trying to bring every "big" character in the series back for one last appearance in these final episodes? Last week: Borias (and/or his son, also played by Martin Csokas.) Ephany. And Xenan, her son. This week: Caesar. Alti. Joxer. (lol at the Roman guard role.) I have yet to see a Season 6 appearance by Hudson Leick though. Maybe if we say "please", she'll show up at some point during the series finalé. You think? Please?
(Yes, I could check the spoilers, but what fun would that be?)
Jumping back to tonight, the weather was absolutely perfect as I took my stroll down Pearl Street. Twilight. Most of the stores were closed by then. I had considered going to Buddha Intro class, but I would have been late, and besides, I wasn't really in the mood far that. Just walking up and down the mall outside was enough. Stopped in a couple of stores, but didn't buy anything. Just a nice stroll before going to the Taco Bell drivethru on the way home. A good thing.
And now, looks like it is past midnight. So I will terminate and regenerate shortly. Until morning.
