... and IMMEDIATELY upon walking in the door from work, having barely taken time to throw his coat off, Bitscape sits down at Argo and types the ramble command. And I don't really even have anything of importance to talk about. Does that prove I'm a psycho or what?

This is definitely one of those work days where I am just GLAD to finally be home and have it over with. Neverending, it seemed. Oh well. I guess I can consider myself lucky that I wasn't the person from my office who "was chosen" to be in a nasty car accident this morning. Big bummer there. (At least no serious injuries though.)

Wow. I haven't burned candles since... Monday night? But still, the second I walk in the Lair, my olfactory system is almost overcome with the sweetness. I love that.

[This evening, Bitscape chooses to have purely audio content while he rambles. Although it's still coming from the DVD player's optical line. Just sounds better that way. Tori Amos. To Venus and Back. Disc 1.]

Yes, definitely glad to be home from the office now.

[Bitscape reclines for a few moments, just taking in the music.]

...

[Bitscape steps forward into the trash buffer. Stands and soaks it in. Switches to track 9: Datura. Cranks up subwoofer a few notches. Listens.]

Just cause there ain't no video don't mean it can't suck your complete attention in. Become swallowed by the music, focusing in on the beat, the instruments, the hypnotic vocals. All other thoughts become emptied from the brain. There are no words anymore. Rhythm and sound comprise the whole of existence. Everything that is conscious and rational fades, enveloped entirely by the sweet sound.

Um... So yeah, tis good to be in the Lair again.

Woke up at 0500 this morning, couldn't go back to sleep. So I got up and went to a few websites. A vaguely surreal experience. Wondered if it was a dream. Did I really....?!? I guess we'll all find out before too long.

Took an early shower, looked at the clock. 0700. Getting sleepy again. Uh oh. Decided I had time for a brief nap. Set my alarm, and slept for a half hour. With great effort, pulled myself back out of bed and made it to work on time.

Today, I again found that concentrating on the task at hand required extreme effort to get even minute amounts done. Partly due to my feeling excessively tired (I did get some sleep last night. As much as my silly brain would allow during those hours.) Partly due to the fact that the tasks at hand are just NOT my cup of tea. At all.

To repeat: I am glad the weekend has arrived. :)

Alrighty. I'm gonna head off for dinner. Rock on, content vultures.
