Brainfarts, advise columns, collective open source...

Feeling totally braindead at the moment. Maybe a little time in the Content Collective will aid the content farming spirit.
Hmm.. Fun stuff in there.
Alright... so... content... Content! It's dead, right? Content is dead? I dunno. Let's see what happens.
So, it would seem another content farmer/vulture has now officially solicited advise. Now that it's actually been asked for, I'm finding myself uncertain what to say.... After last night's rambling... lol.
[Bitscape checks email...]
Oh wow. Incredible. The Content Collective source hasn't even been released yet, but already it would seem that contributions are coming in. An open source project before the source is even opened? lol.
Sweet! Very cool. I shall have to incorporate this GPL code into the main tree. Gotta get the main tree released. No question. Tonight, maybe. Well, provided sleep is optional. lol.
Actually, I could do it. Just throw a GPL header at the top of every file, tar it all up, and throw it on the site. No biggie, right? Rather than trying to clean the warts, just leave 'em there for people to figure out. We can worry about that later. Just get the wheels cranking like they're supposed to. I'll do it. And THEN I will begin incorporating these contributions. (Although there likely won't be time for both AND my rest tonight.)
After this rambling. So I'll finish it quickly. Heehee.
Okay, back to the advise column.
<disclaimer>
I might just be talking out of my ass here. My
familiarity with the situation basicly amounts to what
I've read of Jaeger's content. So, given that... well,
let's just get on with it.

My initial reaction last night: Don't pass up this opportunity. Everybody screws up at one time or another in their life. If the two of you do get along well together and enhance each other's lives (and it sounds like that's the case), why not try to mend it? I guess it's a question of whether it's really worth it to you both.
Now, if "breaking up" were a recurring routine, I might think differently. But once? A mistake. Everybody makes mistakes. Give 'er a little slack. Bitscape's official word: Get back together!
There.
Blah. So much for my advise. This is why I'm not writing for one of those Dear Abby columns, or whatever. lol.
No. Wait. I just thought of a better piece of advise. Disregard everything I said above. Instead, go to a place we all know and love and Ask Slashdot! Tons of good advise to be found there.
I can just see it now...
Anonymous Coward: "Only if she'll let you pour hot grits down her pants...."
Ho hum. Alright, I said I was gonna release the code of an already budding GPL project, didn't I? Time to make that happen before bed. Hehe.
