Put me in the motorcade
Put me in the death parade

Sunday evening.

We are nobodies
Want to be somebodies
When we're dead
you'll know just who we are

It's a strange sort of music that can be simultaniously invigorating, psychologically intoxicating, and manage to draw out that death urge. I can just sit back, absorb the sound, and blissfully watch the mental image of my own brains being blown out. Or better yet, fried slowly on heavy doses of dope.

Just let all the troubles, unpleasantries, uncertainty, and frustration regarding the fiction we refer to as "life" dissolve into this whirlpool of sonic darkness. And by morning, everything will be "normal" again.

Not bad for US$13.99 + tax. Hehe.

My not-so-tough prediction: Give it a few months, and some underage idiot will listen to this album and actually act on said feelings. Get ready for the lawsuits from some so-called "loving parents", Mr. Warner. We know how it works in this country. He who opens his mouth and expresses the angst many have felt will be blamed for its very existence. Yipee. Better hire a good lawyer.

This was never my world
You took the angel away
I'd kill myself to make everybody pay

Aside from another day of excessive sleep today, I also did a bit of planning/coding on my new movielog submission stuff. The good thing about this: When I get it going, it should be easily adaptable to use the book/tv/music tables that have been sitting in the lounge db for ages. Then, the main interface will need to be "revised" (read: overhauled) to accomodate the new sections, and for general all-around web design fun. The stuff Thanksgiving breaks are all about. :)

I also watched one of the Fantasia commentary tracks today. Roy Disney, James Levine (conductor), the animation restoration guy, and an animation historian. Cool stuff. I still have yet to even insert the Fantasia 2000 disc into the player. I know that will be a moment to savor. There's just SO goddamn much material. I've heard that Disney has developed a reputation for shoddy DVD releases. That's certainly not the case with this one. Awesome stuff.

Is it strange to purchase a Disney title and a Marilyn Manson album in the same transaction? Nah, not wierd in Boulder. Only in Boulder. Hehe.

Hmmm, I guess it's bedtime, but I don't really feel sleepy. Me and my nocturnal tendancies. The weekend is just long enough to get adjusted to a more natural sleep cycle. Then comes Monday crash. Boom.

Maybe I'll light a candle or two (I don't think the whole ensemble will be necessary this time), and crank out a little code before bed. Yeah, that's what I'll do.

Ensign, make it so.
