Trying to think of a good title. Unsuccessful.

Ok, so today on my way home from work, I stopped by the post office to inquire about my package. Well, they checked it out. Nothing.

So now we get to wait some more. If it gets here, great. If not, then in 30 days, it's the sender's turn to hassle them. Now I didn't ask the person at the counter this, because obviously they would have no control of it, but really: Would somebody from the U.S. Postal Service please explain how two packages which were sent at the same time, from the same place, to the same destination address could end up with more than a week's difference in arrival time? The mind boggles.

Next time, I do UPS, no matter how much more it costs. At least that way, if it's being routed through a dozen different states on both coasts, I can find out which states it's going through. Hindsight.... [sigh]

Meanwhile, I have this wonderful little case to my right which has nothing to do but act as a surface to place my case of cds on. Ho hum. It looks so nice though. :)

[Bitscape slowly runs his hands over the contours.]

Yes, very nice. And no, I am not a fetishist. I just have an appreciation for cool new hardware. Especially when it's hardware I own. Ok, maybe I am a fetishist. Happy? :)

And the theoretical mystery audience of lurkers who read this web page continues to expand. Or does it? I guess I really wouldn't know, cause I haven't even glanced at the apache logs in months. Better that way. :)

I think I'll resist the urge to type the lyrics to the music currently pouring out of these speakers. Yes, better that way.

It would seem that in recent days, the rambling quotient has returned to a level similar to what it was before. Scanning for possible reasons.... Well, I suppose a prerequisite to figuring out the return of the frequent ramblings would be to find out why they decreased in the first place. It's all part of my nature, I suppose. Those who want to try to figure such things out might also enjoy explaining deviations in the weather patterns. To them I say: have fun. I'll be doing better things with my time. Like ramble! Oh wait, that's already what I'm doing. Eh, I think we're caught in a circle. Moving on...

I'm starting to get hungry. Nearly six hours since the last meal. Actually, five and a half. Lunch was late. Company orderd pizza for all of us today. Mmmm. I don't think it's possible to ever get tired of pizza. That job is... like a never-ending trip, even if ya do occassionally get stuck in JavaScript hell, which is where I've been for the last few days. Yes, I have to say that I believe that both Netscape and Microsoft set out on a quest to torture programmers as badly as possible when they came up with the mess that are the mutually incompatible, totally non-standards-compliant Document Object Models. Not to say that the W3C DOM is any walk in the park either. Oh well. Guess that's why they call it "work".

Well, I'm going to get some food. Peace, all.
