Damn I hate the way time just disappears like that. I have a few things that I want to convey tonight though.
First: What can I say? I've been starting to wonder if it's possible to go through an entire rambling without making a complete ass of myself. I did it again last night, and then this morning's attempt at a recompense turned into another ass-making session. How many times can a person screw up and then say "I'm sorry" before it starts to get old enough to warrant a real kick in the ass? I really don't want to find out.
Ok, I was sort of planning on taking yet another crack at the topic that's been sort of ongoing here ever since Saturday night. I've decided that would be foolish right now. That well is dry now, and trying to extract water from a pile of dirt just isn't going to work.
I will say this: One week ago, I was sent a signal. It was received loud at clear, and without ambiguity. My brain took less than five minutes to fully process this signal.
My heart was much slower. Up until today, it has been using virtually every spare cycle available in an attempt to grok the message. It's had a hell of a time at it too. A couple hours ago, I think it finally got it. At least it better have.
I believe that all the feet which have ended up in my mouth recently are attributable -- directly or indirectly -- to this fact. To everyone reading this: If you know what I'm talking about, good for you. You're probably one of the people who has contacted me directly. Otherwise, I don't see this making complete sense to an observer who has only read what has been written here.
On that note, I'd like to tip everyone off to a cool url I handed just a short while ago: http://www.error.f2s.com/. I can't help but marvel that someone outside the group of people who know me personally would have been taking the time to read this site regularly since the days of Bitscape's Outpost. But there it is. And judging by the brief glance I've taken, he looks like quite the awesome web author, and has put a lot of work into that site. Cool things happen everyday.
Well, I was also kind of planning to talk about the weepy Ally McBeal episode, my trip to Wal Mart, and the cd I returned with which I will never admit to owning. But that's all fluff anyway. And I need my sleep.
Signing off...
