Dagobah freshly rebooted in the lair, which is once again taking such a resemblence to a garbage dump that my tolerance threshold is nearly expired. Ah well. Such is the price of a life of excess. Caffeine. Festing. The $PATH of the source.
Well, the anti-tv rambling I made a week ago was certainly easier to do on a night with no X-Files. After tonight's episode, followed by a season 4 classic, my faith in quality television programming is again restored. An excellent series indeed. How quickly some can be swayed. lol. It's the subtlety, ya know?
Something I seem to be lacking at the moment.
Obviously, Bitscape's Lounge version 2.0 has once again missed its non-deadline. Will this monstrosity of perl modules and postgres hierarchies ever see the light of day? Stay tuned.
I'm coming to believe that the X-Files might just be best viewed while on heavy caffeine withdrawl. I had a nasty headache all through both episodes, but only noticed it during commercials. Getting so wrapped up in the show itself just takes the mind to another realm. The subliminally sublime, Chris Carter-induced shivers down the spine. That could become an addiction in and of itself.
And now I'm zoning out on Rob Zombie. Trance-inducing, demonic aural vibrations from the mind of a wild man. The sleep-deprived brain is a strange thing indeed.
On that note, I think this would be a good time to shutdown -h now, in the hopes that tomorrow I will be able feign some level of productivity on the job. Life is highs; life is lows. I wouldn't have it any other way.
