Undocumented life

I've been leaving my life largely undocumented lately. In fact, my records show that my last full fledged rambling occurred just short of a week ago. It's not that things haven't been happening. I just haven't felt like writing about them.
Well, here's a brief synopsis:
- Last Thursday. Hacking Society. A rather large crowd was there, including both Jaeger and Kiesa, now with their respective laptops.
- Friday morning. Mom got comcast installed at her place, both tv and Internet. I stuck around to help her setup her PC.
- Friday afternoon/evening. After fudging around with x13 code and discussing the higher poinsts of Buddhism on yanthor.net, scottgalvin.com and I had dinner at a a Mexican place south of downtown that he recommended. (The name of the restaurant is slipping my mind.) Good margaritas, good food. Afterwards, we saw Anchorman. I did document the movie itself, albeit very briefly.
- Saturday. I helped further configure mom's setup. My initial plan had been to have Rygel act as a firewall, but when I realized that her poor ancient system had not only a smaller hard drive, but also a slower CPU, I ditched that idea, and set Rygel up in the classic all-in-one manner. I installed Gnome2, Evolution, abiword, gnumeric, plus various other little things, and made a very simple iptables script that disallows all incoming packets not initiated from the inside. Mom seemed quite pleased with the setup.
- Sunday. Lazed around to an excessive degree. In the evening, I wandered over to "the club", drank some alcohol, listened to Elusis's set, danced a bunch, bumped into a couple of old acquaintences, and left shortly after 1am.
- Monday. Jaeger offered $30 for my Zelda Windwaker game. I took it without hesitation. Wandered over to his place, talked for a bit, and we played some Monkeyball 2 as well.
- Tuesday. Not a whole lot has happened, unless you count some fairly dreary stuff for a client, and little bits of "real coding" around the edges.
Maybe someday, I'll be inspired to write more. But not now.
