Too hot to think

Too many backdated ramblings in the queue. Too much heat. Way too much. And it's only June. Add "air conditioning" to my list of desired work benefits.

The other option with this job, of course, is to commute all the way down to Cherry Creek day in and day out. Uggh.

Then there's the ever-appealing option of renting my own apartment again. But honestly, I'm not yet confident enough in the ongoing viability of the business to be ready to sign any leases. Scott might be able to pay me this month, but next month? It's hard to say.

In the mean time, I sit here panting, fanning, and sweating. I want it to be cloudy and rain tomorrow. Anything to alleviate this. Please.

Record Highs
by Jäger (2004-06-08 15:57)

Copied-and-pasted from one of the weather sites I visit with some frequency:

... Record high temperatures set in Denver for June 7th...
The record high maximum and the record high minimum temperatures for Denver were both broken on June 7th. The high temperature at Denver International Airport was 98 degrees at 439 PM. This broke the old record maximum of 97 degrees set way back in 1874. The low temperature was 68 degrees at 610 am MDT. This broke the old record high minimum of 64 degrees set back in 1879.

The "good" news is it's likely to be in the mid-eighties for the rest of the week, which isn't nearly as cool as I might like, but I might be able to survive it.

"Mrs. Seinfeld, please turn on the air conditioning!"

(It's still muggy in here, although thankfully today is not nearly as hot as yesterday. It looks like it might even rain soon...)
