Another reason music downloads are great

music: Dreams of Sanity - Masquerade

I've decided I freakin love this cd. I'd likely buy a physical copy if I could find one, even though I've already paid to download it. The amount I paid was miniscule, yes, but I did pay for it.

So far, my searches of online cd stores have turned up nothing. (Other titles by the same band? Yes. But not Masquerade.) Do any physical copies of the cd even exist? I suppose there must be some somewhere. Probably in somebody's basement.

So for now, I guess I'll just content myself with being tied to my computer to listen to it until such time as I can afford a portable mp3/ogg player, and be glad I have the downloads, because otherwise I wouldn't be able to listen to it at all.

Could it be that the mythical future in which everyone only buys music through online downloads is already upon us? I wouldn't have thought it would happen this soon. The future is now.
