Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle, even moreso than its predecessor, is a non-stop fun ride featuring the outrageously silly antics of Cameron Diaz, Drew Barrymore, and Lucy Liu.

Once again, McG takes the director's chair, and it shows. Furiously edited back-to-back action sequences comprise the bulk of the film. Virtually all of them are emphasised by a plethora of very familiar musical numbers from past and present, which take center stage on the soundboard. Prodigy, Zombie, Rage, Hammer, Snoop, Bon Jovi. It's all good.

The bounty of Matrix-alike shots becomes almost too much, due mainly to the sheer quantity of them. Was it just me, or was the gratuituous use of bullet time itself turning into a running gag by the end? That's not to say several of the instances where it was used weren't cool. They were. It was just getting to be crazy excessivity. (Don't try to look that last word up in the dictionary.)

As for the story... Again, this movie followed in the footsteps of the first one. It ain't about story. The convoluted plot, such as it is, makes no excuses. It is humorously obvious that it is only contrived as a flimsy vehicle to transport Cameron, Drew, and Lucy from one gag-filled, action-packed venue to the next. Don't try to make sense of the it, because the writers didn't either. If anything, they went out of their way to have it not make sense. All part of the humor.

Bosley (formerly played by Bill Murray) got replaced by another Bosley (Bernie Mac), which spawns more nonsensical humor/plot about the replacability of any of the characters. This newly added rule nicely sets up the premise for Demi Moore's fallen angel villian character. Yes, it all makes perfect sense! Take it in stride.

A ridiculously goofy 2 hours of fun. Pretty much what I expected.
