As of less than an hour ago, my employment has been terminated.

Gee, that was a big surprise!

In truth, I didn't expect it to happen nearly this quickly, but I can understand why it did. Once you've been sniffed out as a rogue agent, you're gone. All legal, of course. No severence package. But no worries. I've got today's paycheck, plus the PTO pay for my balance there. So I'm ok financially for the next month at least if I don't spend recklessly, and minimize my nutritional intake.

Here was my crime, for which this booting out was justified: I violated the "Anti-Violence Polity" by exhibiting what appeared to be "threatening or hostile behavior". This threatening behavior was in the form of some very rush, angry words I had sent to another ex-employee last weekend.

Oh well. I wanted to be out of there anyway. They knew it. I knew it. I just had no idea it would happen this fast. So now, it's time to think on my feet. Find a new job. For the short term, it will likely be something in the service industry. Maybe. I'll have to see what I can find.

And still, I find myself recovering from the "Wow" of the whole thing. Wow.
