I want to write something, but as often seems to be the case these days, I'm not sure what.

The one sure way to balance out the diet bubblegum flavor of Britney Spears is to pour on a healthy dose of morbid, morose Marilyn Manson. Seriously, the two musical styles complement one another perfectly. They should do a duet sometime. That would be a headliner. "The Antichrist and the Reverend: Which is which?" Yes, I know I'm a kook, thank you. (Nor is this the first time such bizarre thoughts have crossed my mind, but I don't feel like going to the trouble of finding the link to that particular past rambling right now.)

There's a David Lynch film that's going to air on IFC in like 10 minutes, and I intend to watch it. This rambling is really just a time filler for me. I thought I might type something meaningful and profound while I was here, but I can see that that's not happening.

Celebrated mom's birthday tonight. Me and dad took her out to the Cork in Boulder. Her favorite restaurant. When I was at Media Play on Friday, I remembered that at one time or another, mom had once mentioned that The Sound of Music was her favorite movie, so I picked up the special edition dvd to give to her. I think she liked that.

Paid bills and balanced my bank statements this weekend. I've gotten into this strange little habit of sinking nearly all my excess money into paying off debt. It has the result of making me feel (relatively) poor, since my bank balances always end up on the low side all the time. A good thing, I think. At least one of my new year's resolutions isn't dead. Heh.

Alright, time to go turn on the tv. Should be a brain twister, if past experience is any indicator.
