I've been asked to pass this on. I was going to do it earlier, but I just now remembered.
Hey Everybody,
I wanted to pass this along to everyone. Please do the same and don't forget when it comes time to shine. We will show our strength.
--------------------------------
Friday Night at 7:00 p.m. EST step out your door, stop your car, or step out of your establishment and light a candle. We will show the world that Americans are strong and united together against terrorism. Please pass this to everyone on your e-mail list. We need to reach everyone across the United States quickly.
I assume that was intended as EDT. At 1700 MDT, I will be lighting a candle. It should be an interesting sight to see, if many other people also do the same.
Another note: This morning, on the radio, I heard an announcement about a March / tribal dancing session / get-together in Boudler scheduled for Saturday at 1530 MDT. This event, called the "We the People March", was originally planned months ago as a way for citizens to gather together and express their solidarity as citizens of the nation, without necessarily protesting or promoting any specific cause. Now, in light of recent tragedy, it is becoming more of an opportunity for people to gather together to help heal the wounds that have been wrought.
I decided it is something I would like to participate in. As I said above, the gathering will begin at 1530 MDT Saturday. The place is the corner of Broadway and University. People will assemble, line up, organize, and at 1600, begin marching down the sidewalk toward Pearl Street. On Pearl Street, we will turn right, and march to the courthouse, congregate there for a few minutes, then migrate to the Boulder Bandshell, where tribal dancing, drums, and congregating will go on until 2200. There will be areas where people can share their interests and concerns about issuse which affect us.
Yeah, I can just hear some reactions now. "Probably a bunch of crazy Boulder hippie liberals." So be it. I plan to be there.
Finally, I'd also like to also echo Jaeger's sentiments, and what I said in Content Solutions, in this space. I too am glad that Drizzt has found this place and joined us here. While I was a student at ucollege.edu, he was a very good friend to me. We had lots of fun times. If things go well, maybe the whole bunch of us will have a chance to get together again in the future. That would be a good day for me.
