"Drugs are baaaad. Mmmmkay?"

Umm, yes. The title of this rambling. If one were to try to think of labels for the footage that is currently running on the Lair's main viewscreen, this rambling's title would have to be a candidate.

It all started today at lunch, when several coworkers and I did what we often do -- finished eating early, and then decided to spend the remainder of the lunch hour wandering around inside Best Buy. Of course, when one is at Best Buy, it is very easy to become tempted to part with one's money. As did happen today, when I walked out of the store with Moby's Play: The DVD.

A few hours later, after arriving home from work under light rainfall, I proceeded to finish what I had started during the weekend, and vacuumed my mostly straightened up room. Then I moved my audio/visual setup back in here from its temporary spot in the family room. (Should I assign a name to my tv? Nah. That would just be too wierd.)

Put on the Moby DVD, set the sound to 5.1, and Play. The videos were entertaining enough. The narrative style on one of them reminded me very distinctly of Memento, although I'm not sure which was actually made first.

Now, the 90 Minute "Moby's Megamix" is on, with pumped up electronic music, and... graphics. Perhaps it could be described as Cthugha on Acid. (If so, it would be acid squared, because the Cthugha has dubbed itself "An oscilliscope on acid." Hmmm, nested acid reference.) So that, of course, leads me to the title of this rambling.

Yes, I probably pamper myself altogether too much these days. Oh well. At least I'm not spending my life addicted to smack, homeless on the street giving handjobs for cash. Ahem. It's not at all apparent what have I listened to on the jukebox a few times over past few weeks, is it?

I think I'll get my buns out of this chair now, mmmkay?
