Well, um, I guess it's old news now. The Content Collective's data went boom this morning. I screwed up, and the result wasn't pretty. For more info and details, read my recent additions to the Content Collective.

Yes, that's been my refrain a lot lately. Scary, since now all the stuff from the last few days that was put there is no more. So I guess the time between last Saturday night and now is something of a void spot in the Bitscape content production. Bummer. Bygones.

A good reason to keep the ramblings up too.

I've now got it all setup to backup the Content Collective data from Rage to Argo on a nightly cronjob. Hopefully, this will mean any future mishaps won't be quite so catastrophic.

And so the Collective begins again. I have a whole slew of ideas about stuff to add to the code. The extensible, flexible, ultra-fun map code was pretty much done and debugged last night. The presentation needs work though. Now that the map is back to baby size, that can wait a bit. I'll make it niiice and polished this weekend in between some very long naps and quality television. Maybe a Quake game or two. :)

(Speaking of which, I need to get my X 3d drivers back into a working state. There are debs for them now I think, but I haven't taken the time to do anything with it since the reinstallation.)

This week, I have been maintaining a sleep schedule which I know I simply cannot sustain for long. It could probably even be considered a large contributing factor to this morning's unfortunate event. A brain short on sleep gets sloppy. A fact of life.

A few minutes ago, I had to use willpower and force myself not to do any more poking in the Collective code tonight. It can wait. I so much want to make some mods to the color engine. It can wait. Rest is more important.

With that in mind, I think I'll end this and retire for the night. Tomorrow is Friday. Woohoo! Saturday and Sunday, sleep in until noon or later, and code more things up at my leisure. Goodie.

Twinkle twinkle.
