Some really trippy title...

Almost on the edge of my consciousness, but... not quite there.

Let's try for a weekend summary.

Friday night: After eating Chinese with the family, Bitscape returned to the Lair, and contemplated the possibility of a solofest. Had a bunch of fun reading about and experimenting with Apache until about midnight (didn't get much of anything productive done, but that's not of much relevance here, is it?). Brain became tired. (Full time employment tends to have that effect at times.)

Watched American Beauty. A most excellent film. Most excellent. Movielog way behind. One of these days...

Saturday. Well, I think I documented much of that in last night's entry.

[Bitscape inhales.] This is almost TOO much. lol. (No, I am not referring to psychotropic or hallucinogenic substances.)

Today. Sunday. I did what seems fairly common these days: Woke up rather early. 0800. Surfed the web for a few minutes, checked email, went back to bed. Really woke up at noon.

Took some time with the ongoing process of keeping my room from falling into a pile of totally unlivable shambles. Same goes for my life in general. Took some time, that is.

My toothbrush has been getting worse and worse. It's gotten so ragged and disgusting that brushing my teeth has become... well, disgusting. I also ran out of melatonin the other night. Doh. This prompted me to decide it was time for a journey to a store or two.

After spending a couple hours with the room improvement / life work / laundry / Argo configuation / shower, I finally got out the door at 1500. Another thing that's been needing attention lately: clothes. I need some new ones. Well, I shouldn't say need, because it hasn't gotten that urgent yet, but I really shout get some.

Words of simple truth: Shopping for clothes is simply a Not Fun thing. It's just... uggh. Annoying. Boring. Tiresome. Something to be gotten over with, and often procrastinated until absolutely necessary. Exceptions to this rule include Star Trek conventions and Halloween costume expeditions. But under normal circustances, buying clothes is considered a necessary evil.

As I said, the expedition got underway at 1500. First stop: Candle wonderland! :)

This time, the lavender was in good supply. I took a tour of the candle section, and found some yummy additions. You see, during the earlier room editing, I had moved The Dagobah Memorial from its position under the NTSC viewing screen to the western windowsill. What better way to decorate the memorial than with more candles!

I found a round blueberry-scented piller. Perfect.

A nice tall lavender. Mmmmmm. Into the card it went.

A tri-wick cranberry. Mmmmmmmm. Very large, very round, and very fragrant. A wonderful addition to my collection.

Passed the grape candles. Snickered to myself. Not even touching those today.

Last thing: A HUGE-ass tri-wick vanilla. Oh yeah!

Picked out some proper containers and stands, wandered around the store a bit to see if they might have any other items on my list for the day. Nothing jumped out. So I waited through the (annoyingly long) line, and put the happy bank account depletion card to use.

There are visions
There are memories
There are echoes of thundering hooves
There are fires
There is laughter
There's the sound of a thousand doves

Ride on
Through the night
Ride on

Love that sound!

Ahem....

Took a jump across the street to the Wild Oats Market, and picked up my bottle of sweet white pills. Was fairly hungry as well, so I bought a slice of hot, yummy pizza. Mmmmm...

I had spent a rather excessive amount of time in the candle store, so I was a bit behind schedule. I had also had thoughts of washing Tobais, but the snow made that a less than ideal proposition. Given the shortness of time, combined with the not so good environmental conditions, I decided to skip that step, and proceeded straight to Target.

Bought the much needed toothbrush (two of them, actually), restocked my wall poster adhesives (more room decoration), and in the clothing department, I bought... ready for this?

One shirt. Whoopdee doo.

Checked out, made time home as quickly as possible to arrive at 1700. Missed the teaser, but saw the rest of the new Andromeda. Good stuff.

After quality television, I returned to the Lair, ordered the items, rehung some more of my posters. (Same ones I had before, but they've been away in the closet for a couple months. I have strange decorating habits. I'll get posters, like them for a while, eventually get tired of them, put them away, and then, after more time passes, decide I want them again. My room has once again become, more or less a tribute to the Warrior Princess and The Truth Seekers.)

Speaking of which, my clock shows T minus 17 minutes, 30 seconds.

I blessed the blue as the Flame of Commemoration, and placed it atop the remains of Dagobah in the western windowsill. (Not facing west, but to the west compared to my other windowsill, which is close enough. They actually face north.) Not that I planned it whis way, but one could not that in certain Wiccan traditions, west is representative of death. Seems only fitting that Dagobah would now rest in the western windowsill. Heehee.

The tall lavender pillar, I have dubbed the Flame of Eternal Spirit. Don't ask why. It just sounded good to me.

The cranberry maroon, the Three Flames of Life Strength: mental strength, emotional strength, physical strength.

The try-wick white piller. Again, Flames of Protection. I signify these to represent the realms of conscious, subconscious, and that part of the mind which lies beyond understanding.

All my meanings, of course. They may not mean jack shit to anyone else. But afterall, the power lies not in the objects themselves, but in their affect on the state of those who use them.

A also lit the existing flames: The Flame of Soul Energy, the Flame of Protection, and the Flame of Meditation.

And now what I have is a VERY aromatic room. Mmmmmm..... Bitscape's Lair.

Hmmm... I may return to cover other topics after part two of the premiere.

Scully and (hopefully) Mulder, and... that other new guy.... here I come!
