[Bitscape munches on his KFC wings.] Hrmph. These things suck compared to Safeway's hotwings. But they'll do.

Always fun to try to type a rambling, read/write email, contribute to content solutions, and eat all at the same time. Heh.

Grrrrr... I have now consumed my entire so-called "meal", and my stomach feels like it was barely a drop in the bucket. More drivethru? I'd say maybe I should make another trip for food, and stop at Target while I'm out, except I think Target is closed by now. Maybe just some more food. Or I suppose I could scavange the kitchen.

Acting class rocked tonight. Would've been even better if I had done a better job (i.e. spent more time) memorizing the lines given last week. That class just rules. More, more, more. Heehee.

As of Sunday afternoon/evening, Argo now routes the packets in and out of the Louisville Compound. Had a bundle of fun last night learning the ways of iptables. Half of my time was spent recompiling the kernel over and over and over again. I'd be going through the HOWTO / manpage, and I'd try to do something, only to discover that the kernel I had didn't have support compiled in. So I'd go back, look at the options, and sure enough. Disabled this, that, and the other.

What was annoying was that the reason I had left these uncertain items unchecked on the first compile was that the help descriptions had said, "If you are unsure, say N." So, being the unsure soul that I am, I had turned them off. Only to find that I really did want these features on. Well, after a couple rounds of that, I said to hell with the help, went into the netfilter section of the menuconfig, and checked every last available option there was. Hah! That'll show YOU!

The circle of active content vultures expands some more. ("Active" being defined as content vultures who choose to make themselves known by contributing to the content solutions framework.) For some reason today's dose in a strange way reminded me of some kind of Andy Kaufman stunt. Can't say why exactly, but it did.

After acting class tonight, I took a very hungry Tobias to the nearest available feeding station. He was so hungry that he insisted I stop ASAP, so I resorted to an inferior place. ("Inferior" being defined as lacking modern facilities such as pay at the pump functionality.) The CU area seems especially barren when it comes to gas. Maybe I just don't know the right places to look.

After food, Tobias was also in great need of a bath, so since he's overdue, I took Tobias to the standard location. He purred perked up noticably upon approaching.

Riding in a clean car (on the exterior at least; I don't like trying to vacuum in the dark, so I didn't), I noticed my own stomach becoming impatient, so I wandered until I saw something that looked good. KFC drivethru it was.

Now, I think I'll go in search of some more food, since my attempt at a meal proved less that adequate, and then...

[Cranking the speakers briefly.]

I light this candle
and watch it throw
tears on my pillow
and if there is a christ
he'll come tonight
to pray for spanish eyes
and if i have nothing left to show
but tears on my pillow
what kind of life is this
if God exists
then help me pray
for Spanish eyes

...Sleep.
