Well, I just got done doing something I rarely do: Take a shower in the evening. But this was a time it was needed. When multiple layers of dried sweat have caked onto the skin, it's definitely one of those times.

Yes, today I got up bright and early, and proceeded on a quest to upgrade my karma. No, I did not spend the whole day trolling and First Posting on Slashdot. What I did do was get more exercise than I've had all year long. Or last year too, for that matter. Maybe even the year before? And the year before that?

Anyway, I took off to Jaeger's place, and joined the hoard of swarming minions who were carrying out virtually all of the possessions of the family, loading them into the big moving truck along with assorted other vehicles, and going across town to unload.

Whew!

The boxes, the shelves, the bookcases, the paino (youch!), mattresses, zillions of odds and ends, and who knows what else.

Putting stuff in the new house, we got to see Jaeger's new alcove. Seriously, it is an alcove. I am of the opinion that Jaeger's secondary handle should now be Third of Five, given the way his new living quarters are situated.

So anyway, we went back and forth several exhausting trips. On the last one, bouncing became qualified for the Super Genius Award of the Week by locking himself out of his car. He called the parental units, to have them bring the secondary set, and remained behind at Jaeger's old residence, as he didn't want to leave a running car abandoned.

After the third trip, I hung out in Jaeger's new alcove for a while while he arranged his belongings, we talked about stuff, <seinfeld refgt;yadda yadda yadda.</seinfeld ref>

Jaeger's parental units then took us ("us" being the ones who were still around), out to Jaeger's old stomping ground, Healthy Habits, where we all ate our fill. Mmmmmm.

After that, we all parted ways as the twilight disappeared over the mountain.

Having promised Tobias that he would get his much-needed bath before the end of the weekend, I headed to the car wash. Since I was in Boulder anyway, it wasn't much of a drive. IMO, twilight and dusk are the best times to wash the car. Getting it totally clean, just as the last rays of daylight disappear, simply rocks. I can't explain why.

Tobias was grateful for that. So enthusiastic was he in expressing his gratitude, that he had Bitscape nervous about getting a speeding ticket on the way home. Fortunately, the cop which was going the other direction on South Boulder Road just kept right on going. Apparently, he wasn't terribly concerned that Tobias had been doing 70 until Bitscape discreetly stepped on the brakes after would probably have been too late anyway. Whew!

After arriving home under cover of dark, Bitscape's body felt like a sack of decaying shit, so it didn't take much thought to realize that the shower sounded like a very good place to be.

And then, of course, the rambling. And now, the bed. Thank you.
