Ah, what a movie!

I remember when I first saw this movie in the theatre, all those years ago. I was like, "Wow!" Now again tonight, I'm like, "Wow." What more is there to say?

Trying to quantify what it is about this movie that makes it such a wonder. Could it be the beautifully designed sets? The dialog, so succinctly written and delivered? The delicate insertion of what we Xenites would so reverently refer to as "subtext" into the storyline? Or perhaps it's just the ever engaging plot, each discovery, each progression, so rightly following everything which came before. Like listening to Beethoven symphony. Speaking of symphonies, the music was awesome too.

I'd check "All of the above." :)

An excellent piece of work. Watching it, the mind just journies off into another time, another world. So dark. So gruesome. Yet so enchanting.

This is the kind of movie worth buying, so you can watch it time and again, whenever the mood strikes. I guess that's why I did. :)
