Festing weekend

The motto for this weekend: Sleep is for idiots!
Although the third fester won't be arriving until tomorrow night, bouncing and I have decided to get things underway tonight. We will be festing!
Eat, drink, and program, for on Monday we will caffeinate!
And, in case anyone's wondering: Yes, I am somewhat intoxicated. And yes, I will before long be (but am not yet) heavily caffeinated. What a wacky combo indeed. I don't even want to think about the deranged properties that a mixture of beer and Josta in simultatious consumption would effect. :)
So... Dare I say this, having said it at least twice before and not making it? I think I dare. By the end of this weekend, I plan to post a working version of the new Bitscape's Lounge interface.
Having not even looked at the code for almost two weeks now, I think it's time to get back to it, give it the final "Heave", and get it into use before the whole mess decays and the postgres tables start to fossilize.
I'll even be testing it with Mozilla. Imagine that! (Just so it's not lost on the other two of my three readers, I've basically spent most of the past two days staring at a Mozilla window and trying to convince Javascript code that was written for certain, shall we say, less standards-based browsers to work on the Great Lizard. A teeth-grinding process, mostly because there's virtually no documentation covering the real (read: w3c) way things are supposed to be done, so my only recourse is to try to decipher the w3c specs. Let's just say that those specs are not written in O'Reilly style quick reference format, and leave it at that. But it still beats coding blind for IE. :) )
Well, since my page doesn't use any Javascript insanity, I don't think that will be a problem here. Just layer upon layer of inherited object oriented perl modules. :)
Oh, and maybe some good Gimp time. If I get really ambitious, I might even try to crank some stuff out of Blender. Oh, but I was going to try to get this out on Sunday, wasn't I?
To hell with that. I'm doing this this the id software/mozilla/any coding project to attain greatness way: It'll be released when it's DONE. Not before then. If that happens within the next couple days, great! If not, then on another occassion.
Releasing half-baked shit on a deadline is for the corp^H^H^H^H birds. I better quit while I'm ahead. ;)
This weekend, we FEST! Woohoo!
