Exciting times -- bedtime.

Alright, I know I wasn't going to talk about stuff at work here, but this time, I think it's warranted. Besides, there's little danger of revealing anything I shouldn't, since it's already public information anyway.

It's one thing to read some press release or news headline about some corporate merger, alliance, or business partnership. It's quite another to be a part of -- on the inside -- an organization where such things are taking place. To be around, to know personally, the people who are making this stuff happen. To, very likely in the near future, be directly impacting such events in a major way. Exciting is the word. These next few months are going to be interesting, to say the least. Action packed.

Sometimes, it seems my life is getting more and more like certain tales told by bards of old. Art imitating life, or life imitating art? Or is the whole thing just BS? You decide.

In other news, they say those who don't know their history are doomed to repeat it. I guess Tom Paris never read about the experiences of Geordi "ahem... Professor Moriarty" LaForge. Anyway... A cute episode, nonetheless.

In music news, in my evening web surfing, I happened upon a site which referred to the new Enigma cd. Being so out of touch with such things as I am these days, I wasn't even aware of the existence of fourth installment in this amazing series. Since other fans were giving it rave reviews, I quickly headed out to the local music store to grab my copy. Had to go to two stores, since the first one was out of stock. Damn. I guess it is a hot item.

Going over my speakers right now, I like what I hear. I was going to let it put me to sleep, but since I'm not feeling a bit tired, and I wanted to make a little rambling anyway, I decided to stay awake and absorb the music while running 'cat /dev/brain/bs > /dev/keyboard'. Where it goes from there, nobody but the author of the device driver knows.

And now the music comes to an end. Holy cow, that was fast. Well, I did start the disc a few minutes before I started this rambling. Still, time flies. 22:49. I guess some time has indeed passed. And here I thought Michael Cretu was pulling a fast one on us. I feel like restarting it and going some more. Maybe I'll play it again, and run slowfade while I try to debug my brain's shutdown script. Yeah, that's what I'll do.
