These are the words Madonna utters when she sings the song "Human Nature". These words strongly ellicit a disobedient, defiant attitude in those who hear them, whether the listeners agree with the statement or not. The listener is forced to take a side, and an oppositional mentality is formed.
If the person who hears it agrees with the words, thereby taking in its basic philosophy which is that of rebellion, he or she will become rebellious. If, on the other hand, the listener rejects the message, the rejection itself is an act of rebellion against the music.
The only way to remain unaffected by this music is to be an unfeeling, affectionless being. Despite many attempts to convince people of the contrary, this is not possible in living humans. To feel things and be affected by them is just part of human nature. (pun fully intended) Oh yeah, I forgot to mention something else. There is one other way to avoid this mental trap: accept it and live with it.
You may say that the statement I just uttered makes no sense. It contradicts itself. Think about it for a minute though. The very message of the song is rejection and defiance. When you accept and live with your reality, your attitude CANNOT be rebellious. Rebellion and anger are part of this reality. A paradox? No more than the very act if existence itself.
