Note: This document as it was originally written has been destroyed. I spent two days formulating the ideas and researching what was going to go into it. Then, in a flash of carelessness, it was wiped from by hard drive and rendered unrecoverable. Ironically, the only person besides me who read the original was my mother. I showed it to her in an attempt to explain my recent behavior. I would like everyone else to see it, so I shall try to reproduce a closely as possible the thoughts that went into this piece, but it will never be exactly the same.
[AUTHOR'S LATER NOTE (2/20/96): Days later, after closer examination, I discovered that the original document had never been destroyed. When I first got the idea to type the story, I created one file. I then researched and planned it and when I came back I entered it into another newly created file. When I later wanted to see the original document, I opened the first one, which was empty. I had been madly typing, saving, and printing things without thinking clearly about what I was doing. When I thought my original document was destroyed, I went into a temporary state of shock. It felt like part of my soul had been robbed from me, and I was the one responsible for it. I determined to try to recreate the document as described above, but was unable to think of what to write. A few days later, I got my courage up and returned. You've probably guessed by now that the document I opened was the one with the article. I felt like I had seen a miracle. For a few minutes, I thought I was, figuratively speaking, witnessing a burning bush. After a few minutes of careful investigation, I discovered the truth. On some level, however, I still feel that a part of my heart was ripped out and then given back. What a world!]
Now, go on and read the magicly recreated article.
