On the road

Wednesday, March 24, 2010

Location: Missoula, MT

Writing at my (mostly) last stop before leaving town, as I sit drinking one last cuppa tea with Datura, the master knitter who just gave me a pair of amazingly comfy hand-made felt shoes to wear when I'm in the forest. I've been similarly spoiled with love and gifts from all the dear people in the coven over the past few days. I leave town filled with gratitude toward everyone who has helped bring me to this point, as I look forward with excitement to what lies ahead.

Today took me most of the afternoon to really, truly, actually move out of the house where I've lived for the past 2 years, say goodbye to my sweet cat, the Little Captain Stardust, and stock up on a final round of supplies before declaring myself ready. Now, it's almost dark, as I linger with friends (but just for a moment), and prepare to head out into the west.

First Destination: Lost Valley Ecovillage, Oregon.
