Arriving in Colorado, Food Not Bombs

After we arrived in Longmont on Wednesday, I took a picture of the sky as the sun set. My first photo of the roadtrip.

Rain in the Second Temple of Castor and Pollux.

Rain's special frog rests atop the table.

Sunset in Longmont. Oh yeah.

View from the back yard. Rain commented on the suburban oddness of having so many walkways through endless fields of grass where virtually nobody ever goes. She took a walk through the neighborhood trail that first night, and didn't meet a single person. Or even hear any signs of life. (I myself had a similar experience last year on the same Longmont trails in the daytime during the fest. Yes, the whole area is like a big ghost park.)

Rain hangs out in the backyard.

Here, we experiment with the outdoor glamour shot. I especially like this one.

...And this one too.

In lieu of anyone else showing up, Rain and I designated ourselves the official Food Not Bombs crew at the Boulder Bandshell that Thursday. Here, she stands with the food, along with serving cups obtained from the nice folks at Brewing Market.

She uses her winning smile to attract the cute males (outside of camera view) to the free food.

We also brought some cool literature, which Rain was eager to hand out.

Somebody was having fun on Pearl Street.

We stopped at the fountain area and hung out for a while. There, Rain found more people to entice while I stood around and played the introvert. (Rain = Jay. Me = Silent Bob.)

The beautiful Alex became Rain's obsession for the day. (Hi-res versions of this image included at Rain's request. ;)

Willow!

Willow became fascinated by the camera, and always made sure to be doing something cute whenever it came near.
