Now that I've got this spiffy new web engine at my disposal, I decided to get started in putting together a fairly ambitious content project: Comprehensively documenting the experiences I had between August 22 and September 4, 2004.

Though I've already posted bits and pieces which occurred during and shortly after this period, there are many events and thoughts that never even got a mention. I don't want it all to slip through the cracks of memory without making at least some attempt to articulate my trip down the rabbit whole.

I took an idea from Yanthor's recent content, and decided to make a rough outline first. Having just done so, I now remember why manic episodes have such a strong tendency to come and go with very little written record (in proportion to the density of experiences, that is).

In addition to touching on a lot of stuff that's VERY personal and potentially embarrassing, which prompts hesitation and makes it emotionally taxing to write, the sheer volume of it is freakin huge!

Right now, my "rough outline" consists of 12 handwritten pages filled with scribbled notes -- shorthand phrases each of which could easily expand into several pages if given proper treatment.

So my current plan is to tackle it a tiny bit at a time, ala the Jaeger/Kiesa wedding of 2002. The question is whether I'll run out of will to keep it up to completion, or just throw my hands up and balk at the overwhelmingness of it all. Or gradually find my motivation trickle away, bit by bit.

Well, we'll see. Right now, I really need some sleep, or I run the risk of blowing a few more brain circuts, and in the process creating another pile of lunacy to document next year!

No promises, no guarantees, but a brain full of shit. That's all I have.
