Though some other voices might say otherwise, all I can say is... Wow. That was one hell of a time.
Eventually, I may write about some of the things I experienced. There were many. Maybe enough to fill a book, but I'm not sure I'll be writing that book, because there are other things to do with my life.
Right now, I've got a bucketload of backed up email, a car filled almost to the roof with odd items, a flailing hosting company in need of more help than I can comprehend... Oh, and I still need to check back on those nuclear powerplants is Siberia.
I haven't even yet glanced at what content might have been posted by my friends.
Oh, and a fucking sleep deficit that rivals the Bush economy.
Stop writing now. Now. Now. Now. Now. Now. Now. Now. Now. Now. Now.
Never.

Howdy all! it's me checking in from the Denver Public Library. Qwerty is awkward. Anyway, I'm going to paste the text of an email I received. (Wish I had the ramblings web interface finished, but never did.)
Sorry bout the sloppy formatting. They don't want any one person to use these machines for more than 20 minutes at a time. This is so others can have a chance. Everyone wants to be online!

* At the Anarchist Social Retreat in Del Norte we
recieved some obvious surveillance. This included
having what appeared to be an unmarked cop car with
non-uniformed people in it parked across the street
for several hours (they left when we took their
pictures), had an unmarked SUV following folks around
and observed anouther SUV videotaping us leaving. *

Iowa RNC convergence experiences state repression
August 23, 2004
Infoshop News
The Des Moines, Iowa Convergence, loosely aligned to
CrimethInc, has experienced extreme state repression
in
the last few days. Participants picked up off the
streets for misdemeanor violations are now being held
indefinately as part of an "investigation into
anarchism in Iowa", according to local officer from
the sherriff's department.
Law enforcement has also claimed that they are also
investigating other groups in the area.
Materials that were to be used in workshops and
skillshares mysteriously dissappeared from the group's
campsite, including: lamp oil that was to be used for
a
fire-breathing skillshare and pvc pipe that was to be
used in a home-made didjeridoo workshop.
Federal agents have detained an individual stating
that someone called them saying that they saw people
constructing a bomb, which is entirely untrue of our
group.
Surveillance has been stepped up and is blatant.
These intimidation tactics have disrupted our ability
to openly meet and organize activism for the upcoming
RNC protests in New York City.
