BLUG Demos

Yesterday afternoon, I went over to the Temple of Castor and Pollux to borrow Elssbett from Kiesa.

I prepared for my BLUG demo, chatted with scottgalvin.com about the future of x13, and ate at Fiasco's with a small number of BLUG people.

Over at the university, just as BLUG was about to begin, we were informed that we had to switch rooms because they were going to clean the floors in the one we were using. This despite the fact that the group had reserved it in advance.

We relocated upstairs into a conference room, with no projector. After some discussion about finding better places to meet, it was decided that in the absence of a projector, we would do a bunch of demos simultaniously, with a few people looking over each one's shoulder.

I watched a couple of other people's demos, and then did mine. I showed off the irate software.

Afterwards, a bunch of us went to Caffe Sole to hang out.

There was some kickass wind outside, and they gave me a whole bag of left over bagels to take home.

Now I think Patches is desperately looking for kitty litter, and I have none. So I'm going to take him outside.

That was an altogether far more brief summary than I had planned, but it will have to do.
