Last night, I took a detour to Best Buy on the way home, where I purchased Season 4 of Xena Warrior Princess.

I was already going to buy it, but when I noticed that in addition to the usual bevy of special features, this set featured extended directors cuts of several episodes, I was more than sold.

The set contains a whopping 10 discs -- 9 dvds and 1 cdrom. Again, each disc contains 3 episodes, instead of the typical 4, as is the case with most tv releases. And it shows. Very crisp transfer, at least in what I've seen of it so far.

Last night, I watched Adventures in the Sin Trade, Parts 1 and 2. Cryptically, quirkily classic. Brings back memories. My favorite shot is the long, rotating push-in through the cave.

Anyway, I think I'll be riding home soon.
