It seems the email server of the client that I'm supposed to reach is refusing mail from my IP. Their little bounce message only directs me to this unhelpful page. Stupid, stupid, stupid. I give up.

You could always try using Hydrogen as your mail relay, at least for specific domains that think that the best way to kill spam is to block mail from vast swaths of the Internet.

Eventually, I decided to just ssh into hydrogen and send this particular message from there as a short term solution.

I also went to the ISP in question, and filled out their little web contact form with a polite message that they had incorrectly blocked legitimate mail from my IP, even though I have never spammed them or anybody else. I'm not holding my breath for them to correct the problem though.
