Well, this promises to be an exciting week.

Return of the King premiers on Wednesday. Any Colorado people around here want to make it a group outing? I know there was an email going around about it last week, but the thread sort of died without any firm conclusions being reached.

So at this point, I shall take the initiave and suggest the AMC Flatiorn Crossing 14, 18:45 showing on Wednesday, December 17. If anybody else has any better ideas, post them before tomorrow (here or via email). Otherwise, I'll just go ahead and buy a ticket for myself for said showing, and if nobody else shows up, so be it. :)

Word is that bouncing will be arriving in Colorado on Thursday evening, which will also undoubtedly make things interesting.

Suggested showtime

According to MovieTickets.com, tickets are not available for the suggested showtime, which suggests it is either sold our or the website is just being difficult. (I'd suggest the former, since tickets for other showtimes are available.) Only in desperation would I actually buy tickets online, though, since they seem to think they can charge me a US$1.50 per ticket service charge.

Curse me for not planning ahead.

Alright, based on a brief email exchange with Jaeger, here's my plan:

I'm going to attempt to get tickets for Jaeger, Kiesa, and myself. If 1845 is available, we'll go for that. Otherwise, I'll grab us tickets to the 1805. Off I go!

I have been informed by the one known as Bitscape that he has sucessfully acquired tickets for the 1805 showing. This implies that at least three of us will congregate to see the final part of the epic Lord of the Rings saga.

In slightly off-topic-ness, I actually did attempt to post something about it here earlier, but then wandered off somewhere else immediately after having hit the preview button. Somehow, probably from past learning, my subconscious thought I had posted the comment, when in fact I had only gone into preview mode. (That's actually not the first time it's happened.)

If *I'm* being the idiot user and getting fudged up, even though I'm the one who wrote the code, I have to wonder if I have introduced a usability bug when adding the preview feature. Then again, maybe old habits just die hard.
