A Highly Enjoyable Day

As planned, this morning, I got up and met with $mentor[0].
We went hiking on a trail up past Georgetown. An excellent venue. During the course of it, ended up discussing almost everything under the sun.
After the hike, $mentor[0] treated me to Chinese, which was way cool. (Again, I almost feel guilty, getting what amounts to a bunch of sympathy treats from various sources, when I'm really not doing that bad. Ok, so I'm poor. But I'm happy, and that's what counts. (Ref: Alanis.))
Since we both enjoy crazy art films, we looked at what was available, and decided that Russian Ark was of interest to both of us. I wasn't quite prepared for a film that strange, but it was fun anyway.
I get back home, and discover that scottgalvin.com has been trying to reach me. (But at least the server didn't blow up while I was semi-AWOL.) Projects might be afoot though.... We'll see.
AND an email from the Dean campaign, announcing what they plan to do with all the extra money that was raised from us crazy loons. A television ad campaign, set to air right in heart of Texas, where they "know George W. Bush better than anyone... and what better place to stand up against what George W. Bush has done to the economy and our nation than in Bush's home state of Texas."
I love this plan. It's so diabolical, it just might work. Get all the potential activists from the Austin voter base energized, so they can hit the ground running in preparation for November 2004, even before the primaries. Let's just not get too overconfident about all this now. :)
But boy, do I love the smell of it. I can hardly wait for the Boulder meetup next Wednesday. (August 6 @ 7:00PM at Boulder Democratic Headquarters, 1725B Walnut St, Boulder, CO. Just in case any random readers of this web page decide they want to wander in, say hello to Bitscape, and crash the party.)
At this point, I'm feeling quite beat, physically speaking. So I shall retire for the evening.
