Wow. Would you believe this one sat around on my shelf for 9 months before I finally got around to watching it? What a great piece of movie making.

Set in the breathtaking fantasy world created by Jim Henson's creature shop (yep, they were just as amazing before the word "Farscape" was ever coined), the film is of the hero quest genre, with several really cool twists, in terms of both story and characters.

The cinematography is simply amazing, as are the effects, especially when one considers that it was made in the pre-CGI stone age of 1982. Jim Henson and Frank Oz are great co-directors.

This one goes on the all-time classics list. An outstanding piece of artfully created entertainment.
