More Info
This is a very fun, enjoyable movie IMO. On this night, I
watched it with a small group of people who were invited
from the Boulder reception to attend the special
screening at the Castle Lair. For comedies, group
screenings are generally prefereble, since humor
seems to have a cumulative effect when multiple
audience members laugh. The more people who are
laughing, the funnier it becomes.
This particular movie could also be even funnier for
those who have recently attended or participated in a
wedding. Well, I'd say it's funny in any case. I remember
laughing out of my seat when I saw the theatrical
release years ago (long before the movielog era). The
priest who stutters in the second wedding is the absolute
best.
I have to admit that the romantic in me also enjoys the
more touching moments. Besides the obvious love story
arc (Hugh Grant + Andie MacDowell = Good Chemistry), the
portrayal of the bond between the group of friends who
attend all the events really ties it together nicely.
It's one to enjoy watching again, from time to time,
esepcially after going to a wedding. :)
