I have proved that it can be done. A drive, direct from San Antonio to the Castle Lair in one sitting, occassionally stopping only for gas and bladder relief, and never more than 5 minutes at a time. The theory is no longer just a theory. Whew!

Total milage: As we pulled into the parking lot a few minutes ago, Tobias's indicator read 976.6 miles traveled between the ATM in downtown San Antonio and the Castle Lair.

Time: The journey began on Tuesday, May 28 at approximately 11:30 CDT. It ended on Wednesday, May 39 at 01:13 MDT. Estimated travel time: Just short of 15 hours.

Speed: Deriving from the above figures, one could conclude that the average speed for the duration of the trip (including stops) was roughly 65 miles per hour.

I'll save writing about the San Antonio adventures for tomorrow. Right now, I'm feeling... a little dizzy. Need to lie down. Oh geez.

This is a personal record. Not recommended for those who are not borderline lunatics. I'm just now discovering that driving like a madman for such a stretch starts to do very wierd things to your equilibrium.
